John T. Ort concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate and trust administration, federal estate and gift taxation, Pennsylvania inheritance taxation and individual and fiduciary income taxation.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Ort graduated from Lafayette College in 1970 with a degree in History and graduated from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 1975. After serving as a law clerk with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Mr. Ort graduated from New York University School of Law in 1978 with an LL.M. in Taxation. Mr. Ort is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and the United States Tax Court and is a member of the Philadelphia and Bucks County Bar Associations.
Prior to joining SOGT Law, Mr. Ort practiced law for over 35 years with Brian R. Price & Associates.
