Maureen represents employers in all aspects of employment law, providing strategic counseling, compliance guidance, and litigation defense across the full spectrum of workplace issues. She advises management on day-to-day employment matters, develops proactive risk management strategies, and represents clients before federal and state administrative agencies and courts.

Her practice encompasses workplace investigations involving the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA, the EEOC, and the NLRB; employment contracts; employee handbooks and workplace policies; wage and hour compliance; leave and accommodation issues; background checks; drug and alcohol testing; immigration compliance; independent contractor classification; restrictive covenants; separation and settlement agreements; workplace safety; whistleblower claims; and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programs. She counsels employers on hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions, reductions in force, and other complex employment decisions.

Maureen has extensive experience defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and other employment-related disputes under federal, state, and local laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, USERRA, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, and comparable state and local statutes. Maureen’s broad litigation and appellate experience allow her to provide clients with strategic guidance at every stage of a dispute, from preventive counseling through appeal.

Maureen graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was the Senior Notes Editor of The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, a Research Assistant to Robt. F. Drinan, S.J. (Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Legal Ethics), and the Recipient of the St. Thomas More Award for distinguished student work in Legal Ethics. Following law school, she served as a Law Clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Maureen is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia, before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and before the Third and Sixth Circuit Federal Courts of Appeals. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Montgomery County, PA Bar Association, The District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
